Proposed League – 9-10 teams. – 33 weeks in total

League games = 18 weeks

Knockout Cup – 1 x Prelim, 1 x 1^st round, 1 x semi final, 1 x final = 3 weeks

Note: 3 weeks because the prelim round is played at the same time as the League Cup prelim 2^nd round

League Cup – 2 x Prelim, 2 x 1^st round, 2 x semi final, 2 x final = 8 weeks

Singles heats – Prelim, 1^st round, 2^nd round (at 2 venues) = 1 week

Doubles heats – Prelim, 1^st round, 2^nd round (at 2 venues) = 1 week

Christmas break (22nd & 29^th December) = 2 weeks.

No team selection week for singles / doubles

If the league started on the 06 October 2009 it would run until the 18 May 2010, with the Finals night (hopefully) on Saturday 22 May 2010.

If the first 2 weeks were taken up with the prelims then the league game1 would be on the 20 October 2009.

For 11-12 teams: 37 weeks in total

4 weeks added to the League games ( the KO Cup, League Cup etc stay the same )

For 7-8 teams: 27 weeks in total

14 League Games, No prelim – the rest the same.
